Coming out of the ground

At the end of May, the first concrete slabs were poured on site at McQuoin Park. These slabs form the foundations of stage one of the development, which includes the main community facilities and the first eighty-eight apartments.

Andrew Kinkade, General Manager of Residential Care for Catholic Healthcare, noted that this is a very satisfying stage of construction.

“Obviously a lot of time and effort go into the site preparation, excavations and ground works, but now we can actually see the development beginning to take shape,” Mr Kinkade said.

“For so long we’ve been looking at drawings and plans, and now it’s becoming a reality.”

“We’re also very pleased that the project is going to schedule, so we’re confident we will be able to welcome our very first residents to their new home around the middle of next year,” he added.
